In Halland there are lots of places to fly fish in. Both on the coast and in the rivers.
There are some Put & Take (rainbow trout) places as well and lots of lakes with large pikes.
The most popular fishes are Sea trout and Salmon but recently people have started to fly fish other fishes like, Pike and Rainbow trout.
To be on the safe side it’s recommended to bring different rods for lines between 5 and10 if possible.
Every year salmons are caught that weigh 12-15kg and sea trout between 5 to 7kg.
The sizes of the pikes are good and every year there are quite a few10 kg pikes caught.
On the coast it’s free to fish in the period between April and September (other time forbidden),
and many places are perfect for sea trout.
Also fishes like mackerel and garfish are common in May until September.
In the rivers fly-fishing after salmon is the biggest thrill and every river has its special places for this angling method.
To catch an Atlantic salmon on fly gear is really great, I wish every sports fisher could experience those magic moments.
